HSBC Canada Sevens Early Bird ticket sales begin Wednesday, October 3, followed by public on-sale October 10th; 2019 tournament offers new ticket options for fans

VANCOUVER, BC (September 13, 2018) – Canada Sevens organizers announced today that tournament pass tickets for the 2019 HSBC Canada Sevens event taking place at BC Place Stadium on March 9-10, 2019 will go on sale for Early Bird subscribers at 10:00am PT Wednesday October 3, followed by Public ticket on-sale on Wednesday October 10 at 10:00am PT. Fans can sign up for the HSBC Canada Sevens Early Bird list until 11:59 pm PT on October 2 at canadasevens.com. Those on the list will receive an exclusive seven-day window to purchase their tickets before the general public. Tournament pass ticket prices for the HSBC Canada Sevens range from $99 for General Admission for groups of 10 or more, up to $499 for reserved Fieldside Premium seating.As an additional offering for fans this year, the tournament has added a new category for fans called ‘Sideline’ tickets – reserved seats available for purchase near centre pitch in the lower bowl for $159.
 
“As we launch ticket sales for our 4thyear of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Vancouver, we are pleased to be expanding our ticket offering options for fans who have embraced this tournament and made it one of Vancouver’s’ signature annual events,” said Jamie Levchuk, Managing Director, HSBC Canada Sevens. “With a total attendance last year over 77,000, we continue to see growth year over year, and we will keep striving to bring value to the dedicated Canada Sevens fan base that has shown such overwhelming support since the tournaments’ debut in 2016.”
 
In addition to the new ‘Sideline’ ticket category, the 2019 tournament will feature a new Canada Sevens FEVO program, giving new opportunities for fans to purchase General Admission tickets as groups and unlock various discounts, prizes and experiences. Also new for this year – for those fans who can’t wait until October 3rd– select Sideline and Reserved tournament passes can be secured now when you book a hotel room via StayVancouverHotels.com. Tickets being offered at the time of Octobers’ on-sale dates are two-day tournament passes and include the following options: General Admission $109.00/two-day, with a group rate (10 or more tickets) for $99.00/two-day; Reserved will cost $139.00/two-day, Sideline will cost $159.00/ two-day, while 7s Access is $169.00/two-day; Grosvenor Club and Elite 500 seats are available this year at $249.00/two-day, and finally Fieldside Premium seats at $499.00/two-day. Prices include tax with facility and service fees additional to the listed prices. Stadium configuration remains the same as the 2018 event, with General Admission tickets having access to both the upper and lower bowls and a total capacity just over 40,000 per day.
 
Similar to previous years, suite inventory is already sold out, however select Platinum Club Suites – an enhanced premium suite experience – can still be secured, inventory permitting, by contacting platinumclub@canadasevens.com. 
 
Single day tickets are scheduled to go on sale in early 2019 pending availability.
