Roster set for South American Rugby Sevens

Canada Men’s Sevens Maple Leaf Development team will head to South America to compete in two tournaments this January.

In the line up for Canada will be Joshia Morra, Cole Davis, Cooper Coats, and Jake Thiel who all have HSBC World Series Sevens experience. Davis also has six caps for Canada's 15s team.

The team will first play in Punta Del Este, Uruguay on January 5th/6th before travelling to Vina Del Mar, Chile for the second leg on January 12th/13th.

Competing in the South America Sevens are six South American nations along with USA, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, and Russia. Excluding Argentina, the South American countries will be competing for a possible birth in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series to play in the 2019 Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Vancouver sevens tournaments.

The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN3 for American audiences. Stayed tuned for more information on Canadian viewing.
