Rugby Canada is pleased to welcome back Grosvenor for their sixth year as a Premier Partner of the tournament. Grosvenor has been a key supporter of 7s rugby in Canada since its inception and their partnership has enhanced the event’s community and sustainability impact. Since 2017, Grosvenor has supplied reusable water canteens to all teams that attend, mitigating over 75,000 plastic bottles from landfill and enabling Canada Sevens to become one of the greenest stops on the Series circuit. Grosvenor also presents the annual 50-50 draw in partnership with BC Rugby with proceeds benefiting local rugby and a charity of their choice. In 2020, the property company got behind the ‘Boots to Kick Cancer’ campaign which, in combination with the 50-50, raised over $35K for Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.

“We are pleased to continue our involvement with the HSBC Canada Sevens as we enter our sixth year supporting the tournament,” said Michael Ward, Senior Vice President of Development and General Manager for Grosvenor’s Vancouver office. “As an active property owner and developer, we are committed to making a positive difference in the communities, like Vancouver, where we operate. We are extremely proud of the role we continue to play in ensuring the event’s success and we value the vibrancy the Sevens brings to Vancouver.”

“On behalf of Rugby Canada, I would like to thank Grosvenor, as well as our other Premier Partner Sport Hosting Vancouver for their continued support of HSBC Canada Sevens,” stated Rugby Canada CEO Allen Vansen. “Their belief in our event, combined with continued support from the Government of Canada and Province of BC, has allowed us to build the HSBC Canada Sevens into one of the top Series events in the world.” Vansen continued, “We can’t wait to welcome players from around the world to a vibrant BC Place stadium in February!”

CBC Sports will again provide coverage for all HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournament stops, starting in Dubai November 26-27, 2021 and including Vancouver. All events will be live streamed via cbcsports.ca, the free CBC Gem streaming service and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices. Television broadcast details will be confirmed in advance of each tournament.
