Following a public call for expressions of interest, Rugby Canada has announced the members of a steering committee, the mandate of which is to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the structure and mandate of its proposed Ethics & Integrity Committee.

When formed, the Ethics & Integrity Committee will provide a multi-faceted ethical lens to assist Rugby Canada with the development of national policies and practices and help foster an environment of accountability, inclusion and safe spaces. Areas of committee support may include education, governance, communications, and will involve the engagement of a range of stakeholders (e.g., athletes, parents, coaches, match officials, administrators, rugby unions, wider sports organizations, etc.).

The steering committee includes professionals from across Canada who work in sport policy, sport development, academia, governance, human rights and law who are familiar with the sport of rugby.

Rugby Canada thanks all steering committee members for their willingness to volunteer their time and expertise.
