Canada’s Senior Men’s Sevens roster confirmed for HSBC Singapore Sevens

April 1, 2022 (Langford, BC) – As Canada’s Senior Men’s Sevens team prepares to hit the road for the HSBC Singapore Sevens (April 9-10), Head Coach Henry Paul has confirmed his 13-man roster, presented by Velocity Trade, for the event.

Back in the squad for the first time since the 2020 Los Angeles Sevens, David Richard makes his much-anticipated return from injury. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Brock Webster comes back into the fray after being unavailable for the Spain Sevens in January and following a stint with Major League Rugby’s Toronto Arrows.

Brennig Prevost, Lachlan Kratz and Jarvis Dashkewytch are also back in the roster after missing the Malaga and Seville events, while D’Shawn Bowen – who was with the Pacific Pride during the Spain Sevens - makes the squad with an opportunity to build on his debut in Dubai last year. Phil Berna will captain the side.

“We are really happy to have some key players back from injury for the upcoming Singapore Sevens,” Paul said. “We have a strong roster, which includes some younger, up-and-coming players who will continue to gain vital experience. All the players are looking forward to competing and for the opportunity to showcase their skills at the highest level.”

Following the Singapore Sevens, Paul’s side will return home for the HSBC Canada Sevens at BC Place in Vancouver, BC. Tickets, with limited availability in some categories, can be purchased here.
