Pool winners decided on Day 2 of Women’s Rugby Sevens at the Canada Summer Games

British Columbia secured top spot in Pool A having gone unbeaten in their four round-robin matches, while Nova Scotia finished in first place in Pool B with three wins and a draw.
Tuesday’s action got underway with a 24-0 win for PEI over Newfoundland and Labrador before Quebec sealed a resounding 43-0 victory over Manitoba, which included multiple tries apiece for Alisson St-Onge and Lyanne St-Amour. Next up, there was a spectacle for the fans as Nova Scotia narrowly beat Saskatchewan 15-10 thanks to a last-play-of-the-game winning try by Isabel Gonclaves. That was before Alberta produced a 22-10 triumph over New Brunswick.
Following a break, British Columbia recorded the highest margin of victory at the event so far with a 59-0 win over Newfoundland and Labrador. Then, Quebec put themselves into pole position in Pool A with a 10-0 triumph over PEI.
