Canada’s Women’s and Men’s Sevens Teams will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to qualify for Paris 2024 on home soil in front of family, friends, and Canadian rugby fans. Stakes and excitement will be high, as teams from North America battle for the chance to live out their Olympic dreams.
In this winner-takes-all tournament, the top-placed women’s team and top-placed men’s team will directly qualify for Paris 2024. In the men’s competition, the second and third placed teams will get one last chance at a final qualification tournament.
Rugby Americas North (RAN) has confirmed the 15 teams participating in the tournament. In the women’s competition, Canada will play Bermuda, Jamaica, Mexico, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines in a six-team, round robin format.
The men’s competition will feature nine teams in three pools, with Canada competing in Pool B along with Bermuda and St Lucia. With the USA out of contention to automatically qualify for Paris 2024 through a top-four finish in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, the Americans will also be on the hunt for an Olympic berth in Langford, potentially setting up a cross-border match-up for first place.
Starting at just $40, tickets are sold as weekend passes, with each ticket including full access to two action-packed days of rugby.
