Rugby Canada is now hiring a Program Director – National Training Centres to begin implementing our strategy to create high performance training centres with partnerships in key Canadian cities.

Rugby Canada launched the organization’s new strategic plan for 2024 until 2027 and beyond in early December. “Supporting our teams to win” is one of the strategic priorities of the plan, with a core driver being to establish regional high performance centres of excellence. This new senior managerial position will perform a critical technical leadership role for these centres and will be responsible for the delivery and management of this initiative.

Guided by the Program Director, Rugby Canada will look to establish two, potentially more, centres across Canada, with the initial focus being on establishing embedded partnerships that will support the development of our players within Canada.

“The Program Director will be a world-leading role, blending leadership and operational and technical expertise to form these centres and drive Rugby Canada’s high performance player development programs. This program and the Program Director role will be an integral part of our high performance pathway,” said Stephen Aboud, Rugby Canada Director of High Performance. “We're excited by the potential talent which this role will attract and look forward to working together with the successful candidate.”

The full job description can be found here. An overview of Rugby Canada’s national training centre concept can be found here. Further details about the national training centres will be announced in 2024 once available.
