Over three full days of thrilling rugby and fancy dress, 12 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams, including Canada’s Paris 2024 Olympic silver medal winning Women’s Sevens Team, will compete for the title of HSBC SVNS Vancouver champion. This ultimate Vancouver sports experience will include an invitational men’s tournament featuring Canada’s Men’s Sevens Team integrated into the schedule on the Friday and Saturday.
Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team will play twice on Friday, twice on Saturday, and at least once (depending on playoff match results) on Sunday. Each day of competition will close with premier women’s rugby action as the day’s grand finale, as Vancouver continues to put its support behind women’s sports, as highlighted by the city’s recent PWHL Takeover Tour game, the upcoming inaugural season for Vancouver Rise FC, and this summer’s WNBA game.
Gates will open at 10:45am on Friday February 21, with pool play kicking off at 11:18am, and day one finishing at 9:45pm. Pool play continues into Saturday February 22, with gates opening at 10:00am for the first match of the day at 10:30am. Play-offs will begin on the Saturday, with the final match of the day set for 8:38pm.
Sunday February 23 will begin at 10:50am, with gates opening at 10:15am. The tournament will come to a close with a pair of epic finals, which finish at 6:10pm.
The full schedule will be announced on Tuesday January 28 following HSBC SVNS Perth.
HSBC SVNS Vancouver’s tradition of fancy dress will celebrate a decade of costumes and non-stop entertainment at BC Place. Fans are encouraged to dress to impress and check out vansevens.com for costume inspiration and guidelines.
