Canada's Men's Sevens Team finished the 2018 Hong Kong leg of the HSBC World Series as runners up of the Challenge Trophy after a 33-7 loss to France.

Day 1 -

Canada vs. Kenya:

The 2018 Canada Sevens finalists, Kenya continued their good form as they outscored Canada by five tries to two in front of a packed stadium in Hong Kong. The Africans were just too strong for Canada on the night as they raced away for the win in pool B. The score at the final whistle, Canada 10-33 Kenya.

Day 2 -

Canada vs. Australia:

Canada produced a powerful performance in their second pool B game as they beat Australia 34-14. A brace of tries from Justin Douglas and Harry Jones put Canada in pole position against their opponents from Down Under. Captain, John Moonlight added the cherry on top with the last play as he intercepted and ran the length of the field to seal the win.

Canada vs. Spain:

An evenly matched affair that saw the lead switch hands on a couple of occasions. Spain used the kick and chase tactic to good effect throughout the game and with scores tied at 12-all it was once again this tactic that broke the deadlock. Spain claiming a 17-12 victory to dash Canada's hopes of playing in the Cup Quarterfinals in Hong Kong.

Day 3 -

Canada vs. South Korea:

Canada were too good for the inexperienced South Koreans on day 3 as they dominated from start-to-finish to walk away with a convincing 45-0 victory.

Canada vs. Russia:

An evenly matched game that saw Canada reduced to six men in the second half after Harry Jones was sent off. With scores tied at 12-all, John Moonlight managed to turn over the ball and get it out to Admir Cejvanovic who crossed the line for the win. Full-time: Canada 19-12 Russia.
