With one French player still in the sin bin, Asia Hogan-Rochester increased Canada’s lead further, also converting her own try. In the final minute of the first half, Piper Logan scored between the posts, converted by Daniels, giving Canada a 21-0 lead at half-time. France struck at the top of the second half, and despite taking another yellow card, were able to edge closer to tying the game with a second try. Sabrina Poulin helped extend Canada’s lead further however, with Daniels once again converting the try. France managed to score once more, but Canada took the win 28-19.

Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team then faced New Zealand in the semi-finals for the second tournament in a row.
