Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team roster named for PR7s All-Star Tournament
Fourteen players have been named to represent Canada at the Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s) All-Star Tournament, which takes place Sunday November 17 at Providence Park in Portland.
Fourteen players have been named to represent Canada at the Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s) All-Star Tournament, which takes place Sunday November 17 at Providence Park in Portland.
Canada will play the PR7s All-Stars at 1:30pm PT / 4:30pm ET (airing on RugbyPass TV at 2:30pm PT / 5:30pm ET) and the United States at 5:01pm PT / 8:01pm ET (airing live on RugbyPass TV).
Included in Canada’s 14 are Olympic silver medallists Piper Logan, Asia Hogan-Rochester, Carissa Norsten, and Shalaya Valenzuela, as well as players from the Maple Leaf Development Academy and Canada’s age grade programs. Shoshanah Seumanutafa, Pamphinette Buisa and Mahalia Robinson, along with Hogan-Rochester, join the squad off of WXV 1.
“The PR7s All-Star Tournament will help us kick off the 2025 season, giving our program an opportunity to take on some quality competition and see some new player combinations ahead of the start of the 2026 HSBC SVNS series,” said Jocelyn Barrieau, Head Coach of Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team. “We’ve had a great week as a program leading up to our travel to Portland and are really looking forward to this upcoming Sunday.”
Following the PR7s All-Star Tournament, Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team will kick off HSBC SVNS 2026, with Emirates Dubai 7s taking place November 30 to December 1, followed by HSBC SVNS Cape Town over December 7 to 8.
